So sings Europop supergroup Boney M., now playing in the Diskoteka.

I don't know why Boney M. never made it big in the States. Their other European hits include a version of the reggae classic "By the Rivers of Babylon," itself an adaptation of Psalm 137; "Hooray, Hooray, It's a Holiday!," which borrows its melody from the American folksong "Pollywollydoodle"; and the fabulous disco-kazachok* anthem "Rasputin":

* If you don't know what the kazachok is, find a stoned or drunk friend and tell him, "Dude, dance like a Russian." The arms-crossed-squat-kick-Hey! maneuver that he'll immediately and instinctively perform is, in essence, the kazachok.
